All orders are subject to AHT Cooling Systems UK Ltd (henceforth; AHT UK) terms and conditions of sale. These terms and conditions must be interpreted within the context of AHT UK company policy.

Our contracts of sale shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law. Any actions or proceedings arising of this contract shall be solely to the jurisdiction of the courts of England.

AHT UK takes no responsibility for orders made in error online. The customer must check they have ordered the correct unit to use for its intended purpose. Whilst we will endeavor to help those who have placed incorrect orders as much as possible, the customer will incur restocking & carriage fees if the item has left our warehouse.

Pro-Forma Invoices & BACs payments

It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that all Pro Forma invoices contain the correct information. The customer must check the product & address etc. and inform us within 24 hours if an error has been made. If the customer fails to check their Pro Forma, they will incur restocking & carriage fees. Failure to check details may cause items or services to be withdrawn. AHT UK will not be held liable for customer failure in checking Pro Forma Invoices.

Purchase Orders & Cash on delivery

Orders can be fulfilled if they have been paid for in advance, either through our online payment system or via bank transfer. AHT UK does not offer cash on delivery or partial payments etc.

Pricing & Payment Terms

All prices will be charged at the advertised price current as per the order date. All discounts and refunds shall be at the discretion of the Directors and their decision will be final. In addition VAT will be charged at the ruling rate. AHT UK accepts as payment – debit cards- credit cards (charges may apply for credit cards). All prices are correct at the time of publishing. AHT UK reserve the right to amend pricing and all pricing shall be confirmed at the time of order. Any amendments to pricing will be confirmed for you prior to dispatch.

Warranty

1 Year Parts & Labour Warranty
All AHT UK commercial refrigeration products are sold with a 1 year parts and labour warranty as standard. In general terms, all electromechanical parts are covered against defects and will be replaced like for like or with a component which is compatible with the product.

Important notes

Warranty is invalidated if non approved parts are fitted unless specified by AHT UK. If an engineer is required to attend within the warranty period AHT UK must be advised, an engineer approved by AHT UK will then be sent to site. If a cabinet is found to have been worked on by engineers not approved by AHT UK the warranty will be void, and the visit will be chargeable.

The serial number and/or order number of the unit at fault must be supplied for a warranty to be implemented.

Exceptions

Unless confirmed as being damaged within 24 hours from initial delivery, all cosmetic items and fabricated items are specifically not covered by the warranty.

Shelves / baskets, trays and pans are specifically not covered by warranty.

Light bulbs, tubes and gaskets and trims are deemed consumable and not covered by warranty.

Other consumable items and breakables are not covered by warranty.

Stock loss due to unit failure, or claims for consequential losses are excluded from warranty.

Warranty is not transferable and lies with the original purchaser.

Warranty becomes invalid if non-approved parts are fitted.

Use of equipment other than for its designed purpose will invalidate the warranty.

All claims are to be submitted with complete service engineer’s documentation.

Goods must be used solely in accordance with the recommendations stated in the manufacturer’s handbook/manual. Failure to do so may impair the warranty.

AHT UK reserves the right to request engineer’s diagnosis reports before supplying parts if applicable. All engineers’ reports must be completed by qualified refrigeration engineers on headed paper.

We reserve the right to collect faulty parts for assessment if applicable.

No fault found; general misuse, abuse or site issues and cabinet location; general cleaning and maintenance; damage caused by movement within premises or relocation; blocked drains; defective power source or use of extension sockets; incorrect power source; following repair by an unauthorized party or general refurbishment will invalidate warranty.

Regular maintenance in accordance with the manufacturer’s specification must be adhered to.

All refrigeration is supplied with a 1 year parts and labour warranty unless otherwise stated. Customers must employ the warranty arrangements provided. Each warranty is specific to the product purchased.

Engineers Visits

If a customer reports a fault with a unit and an engineer is dispatched to fix the unit, AHT UK will cover such costs providing the unit is within the warranty period. If an engineer discovers that the unit is not working properly due to the customer not following manufacturer’s recommendations or settings; the customer will be liable for all costs relating to the engineer’s visit. This applies to all warranties. Before an engineer is dispatched, the customer may be asked for their credit card information. If the customer fails to supply their credit card information an engineer will not be sent.

It is the customer’s responsibility to verify specifications and the suitability of items prior to ordering the goods. AHT UK cannot guarantee the suitability of goods for specific purposes. Use of equipment other than for their designated purposes invalidates the warranty.

Returns

The customer must inspect goods immediately upon arrival. Any claim for failure of goods to be in accordance with the contracted order then the customer must inform AHT UK via email within 24 hours of receipt of such goods.

Goods are not sold on a trial basis.

Goods can only be returned if:

  • There is a prior authorization from AHT UK in writing
  • The customer is issued with an authorization code from AHT UK
  • All items are correctly packaged in the original packaging
  • Original manuals and documentation are enclosed
  • The good have not been used

A restocking fee equal to 25% will be charged on all returned goods.

The purchaser is responsible for any returns charges.

Cancellations

Cancelled orders will incur an administrative processing fee of 5%. If the order has been dispatched to one of our depots, the customer will also incur restocking at 25% and carriage fees.

Delivery

AHT UK cannot guarantee delivery times/dates. Estimated times of arrival are given purely as an approximate indication when goods might be delivered, subject to other conditions.

All refrigeration prices include delivery to the customer’s door (throughout the UK mainland) but not unpacking and positioning. The customer must check door entry sizes with all cabinets. If the unit does not fit any carriage charges caused by an aborted delivery will be the customer’s responsibility. A restocking fee of 25% will also be applied. AHT UK will not accept responsibility if the unit or cabinet will not fit.

It is the customer’s responsibility to provide the correct delivery address and postcode. If the delivery address or postcode is incorrect the customer will be charged delivery costs and a restocking fee of 25%.

The customer must provide clear access to their premises. Parking restrictions and or any denial of access will result in aborted delivery charges. Restocking fees of 25% may also apply.

In the event a delivery has to be aborted because the business is closed or no one is there to receive the goods, the customer will be charged again for carriage. If the item has to be restocked then you will incur a restocking fee of 25%.

There are occasions when deliveries can run late i.e. Heavy traffic, accidents road works etc. We will always endeavor to keep our customers posted of any problems that may crop up. However AHT UK is not liable for any loss or damage caused to customer’s business due to any unforeseen circumstances.

Should the customer receive an incorrect or faulty item, AHT UK will not accept liability for loss of business and damages caused by the error.

In certain delivery circumstances the customer may be required to show identification. Our drivers may also photograph the goods recipient and the identification provided. Failure to agree to this may result in an aborted delivery and the customer will be charged accordingly.

Refrigeration

All refrigeration sold by AHT UK is designed to work in an ambient temperature of up to 25 degrees centigrade. It is the customer’s responsibility to provide a suitable and safe electricity supply for any units supplied by AHT UK. We recommend that advice is taken from a qualified electrical engineer.

Warranty becomes invalid if non-approved parts are fitted.

Warranty is not transferable and lies with the original purchaser.

Use of equipment other than for its designed purpose will invalidate the warranty.

All claims are to be submitted with complete service engineers’ documentation.

We do not sell or ship items outside the United Kingdom.

AHT UK does not accept liability for loss of stock.

Sales

All sales are at the discretion of the Directors of AHT Cooling Systems UK Ltd.

Special Orders / Made to order units

Special orders / Made to order unit; once ordered become irrevocable. We will hold units for a maximum period of 4 weeks, after which we will deliver to the premises of your choosing. At no time can the customer cancel the order once AHT UK has placed the order with manufacturing.

If, on our receipt of the goods, the customer decides to either delay or postpone receipt of the goods beyond the 4 week period, or refuse to advise delivery address, AHT UK reserves the right to charge 50% of the net value of the ordered goods to your account. The product will automatically be made available for general sale.

Communications

Phone calls may be recorded for business and training purposes.

The decision of the management and directors of AHT Cooling Systems UK Ltd is final
